Digester Tank Repairs
Problem
The internal top two metres and roof of a concrete digester tank has hydrogen sulphide attacking the concrete substrate.
This picture shows the poor state of concrete from chemical attack.
Solution
- Scaffold erected for access
- Areas to be coated are blast cleaned
- Any damaged concrete repaired with Belzona polymeric concrete rebuilding product
- Two coats of Belzona sprayed onto concrete using specialist heated spraying equipment

Summary
- This work was all completed ahead of schedule and on budget.
- The integrity of the tank has been reinstated and has greatly increased the useful asset life.
